Before I get into today’s outfit post, I want to convey my condolences to all the families affected by the hurricane and earthquake!
Last week I watched a TV show that partly revolved around a search and rescue operation after a massive Earthquake. It was devastating to watch people trapped in the rubble for days, injured unable to call out for help before they were found and rescued. When I heard about the Earthquake in Central Mexico (again), I was speechless. Everything that was fictional until last week is real now, happening 2000 miles away from me. I feel anxious and terrible as I write this thinking about the people who are still trapped and the families whose lives have changed in minutes. Mexico needs our prayers and support.
Here are some ways you can donate and help
I wanted to share all this information before I talk about today’s post on my ode to the everyday stripe.
Wearing: Target A new day Tee ($12) | Denim Skirt (40% off; also like this and this) | Bandana | Leopard Boots (also love this $34 one) | Sunglasses | Crossbody Bag c/o Pinkstix (best fall bag made with vegan leather)
No matter what is trending or what season we are in, stripes are the number 1 wardrobe staple we reach for over and over again. They are super versatile and fit into any style from loungewear to workout wear to workwear
This navy stripe tee I’m pictured in is a part of my weekly wardrobe. I love the touch of class it adds to my outfit. I see myself wearing it by mismatching with polka dot trousers, or wear them under a shirtdress or blouse, or pair them with a suit, or with a jogger or track pants with sneakers. Spring and fall are the best times to find a variety of stripe tees. I’ve chosen few of favorites from my favorite stores, trust they are everywhere.
