While I can’t wait for the weather to cool down so I can live in oversized coats and chunky sweaters, I love the early fall fashion to mix and match outfits with both summer and fall pieces. Like layering a tee dress with a blazer, Linen pants/midi skirt with a long cardigan, Jeans with a flannel shirt or pairing a trench coat with a summer dress.

Ruffle hem dress c/o Modest Passion Collection (wearing size S tts; $39) | Trench Coat (last seen here; comes with a removable layer ) | Boots ( in the color mushroom suede; last seen here) | Polene Bag | Earrings (dupe for $12)
I love midi dresses, they are ladylike, versatile and can be worn throughout the year. To tone things down and add a modern edge, I paired the dress with ankle booties but if you want a dressier look, pair it with knee-high boots instead.
Remember these Blondo boots I bought during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale? well, you will be seeing it a lot in the fall. The best part, these booties are waterproof and comes with cushioned sole. I am wearing in the color mushroom suede, it’s my favorite color for boots after black. They go with any color.
My Trench coat is from Brooks Brothers. I have had it for 2 years now and it still looks fresh. It was worth the investment. The trench comes with a removable layer inside which makes it appropriate for early winter. You can see how I styled it here, here and here.
I love wrap dresses, they are universally flattering on every body type. This dress by Modest passion collection doesn’t come off as a robe which makes it practical to wear it work and in colder months. The floral print is as pretty outside as in the pictures. It is under $40 and I am wearing a size small (tts).
