Shirt dresses are extremely versatile. Whether it’s a casual or formal affair, you can count on them to look instantly chic and stylish. I am absolutely in aww with this iconic shirt dress by The Frock NYC.
First of all, It’s buttery soft, well-tailored and the subtle suede finish makes it stand out. And secondly, the stand-up collar is genius. I can button in up and probably add a statement choker necklace for an elegant look and leave a button or two undone for a casual yet feminine style.
The option to wear the dress partly or completely open makes it super versatile to pair it over dresses, skirts, and pants. Below I am sharing 4 different outfits with the dress. With a mere switch of shoes and accessories, you can easily wear this dress in many more ways.
The Frock NYC Iconic Shirtdress Styled 4 ways
1. Belt It Up and Pair the Dress with Sock Boots
Shirt dresses look smart when paired with a skinny belt. They not only accentuate the waistline but also breaks the monochrome look. To keep the look sleek, I paired the dress with sock boots. I added the beret for a pop of color and to give a Parisian touch but it’s completely optional. You can add a pop of color just with the bag.

2. Wear the Shirtdress as a Duster over a Sweater Dress
The rule of thumb when pairing a duster with a dress is the dress should be shorter in length compared to the duster and slightly form-fitted, this will help create a streamlined, leg-lengthening appearance. I paired the dress with over the knee boots but you can swap it with sneakers or pumps.

3. Wear your The Frock NYC Shirtdress Partly Opened to Reveal the Bottoms
Give the shirtdress an indo-western spin by wearing it partly open and for bottoms, you can either go for maxi skirt or palazzo pants. I added a statement choker necklace to complete the look. You can opt for Jutti’s instead of pumps.

4. For Light Winter Layers, Pair your The Frock NYC Shirtdress as a Jacket over a Turtleneck Tee
This is easily my favorite outfit, I love wearing pants and long jackets any day. And adding some edge with animal print is my go-to mantra for elevating my looks. The turtleneck I am wearing is also from The Frock NYC. The fabric is luxuriously soft and feels like pjs. As far as fitting goes, it’s loosely fitted yet streamlined. It’s a great turtleneck to elevate your look while being comfy.
