I’ve always been a fan of overall and pinafore styles. I think they are very retro-esque, versatile and can be worn year round. I have had overalls but this was my first pinafore style dress that I bought last year. I love how it’s not too fitted on the body and the wide v neck is the show stealer. At first, I was hesitant as the neck was too deep for me but when I tried it with a high neck blouse underneath, I knew it was a keeper. The neck actually gives a definition to the dress as it’s very flowy in the body and the layered combo is huge this season.
The dress is beautiful on its own (if you are comfortable with deep necks) or layered over t-shirt and high sweaters in colder weathers. It is a great staple piece that can dressed up or down depending on your look.

I wanted to revive the 90’s with this look so I wore the pinafore over a stripe crop tee, tied bandana as a head band and pulled my ultra retro-eque sunglasses. The entire look is one of my favorite outfits I did as it defines my style very well- vintagy, chic and laid back
