It’s Novemeber, which means only 24 days for Gilmore Girls Revival, are you guys excited? I am literally counting days ever since the trailer came out. Gilmore Girls is my absolute favorite show (beats GOT for me). I love how the show celebrates little things in life and every character is beautifully written and omg! the dailogues are simply the best. The only complain I’ve had about the show was the abrupt ending of the characters esp Rory and Logan, Jess, etc. I hope we get to see a proper ending to all the characters in the revival. I am so excited, guys!!
Coming to the post, I am celebrating Rory Gilmore today 🙂 the peppy/nerdy collegiate style she adorns at Yale. If your work wear includes strict or semi formal’s like mine, then this style may not be new to you. Rory’s style in the show matured with years. She branched out from polo shirts and denim to more polished looks as she goes to college. Her style included classy layers achieved with button down shirts, cardigans, sweaters, skirts, tights, blazers/coats and boots. For my outfit, I went for semi-formal look like Rory would wear with a denim skirt. You can wear this outfit both to school and work, if denim is allowed or else you can replace it with a brown/grey formal skirt.

I can’t tell enough how much I love layering. It’s makes outfit planning challenging and fun. One of the basic things about layering is matching patterns and colors. You can go for complete contrast colors or stick with monochrome or similar color families. For this outfit, I wanted to add a touch of green to get a little contrast from all the blue. So I wore a green sweater and tights. I finished the look with riding boots and a tan bag.
