Jhal Muri Recipe /Marmaralu Masala Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 3 1/2 cups of Muri//Marmaralu/Puffed Rice -dry roast them if they are soft
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 1 small tomato finely chopped
  • 1 green chilli finely chopped optional
  • 1 tbsp mustard oil or oil from the pickle Avakaya oil
  • 1/3 cup roasted peanuts
  • 1/4 cup roasted dalia dal putnala pappu
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp amchur powder
  • 1/4 cup sev
  • lemon juice to taste
  • salt to taste
  • coriander leaves to garnish

Method
 

  1. Mix Onions, tomatoes, green chilies, roasted peanuts, dalia dal in a mixing bowl
  2. Add in chaat masala, chilli powder, amchur powder, salt, oil and mix everything well
  3. Squeeze in lemon and mix again
  4. Add in the puffed rice now and mix well
  5. Add in sev and coriander leaves
  6. Serve immediately or else the mixture will get soggy.
