We are 2 days away from the Memorial Day Weekend (yay! vacay time), meaning it is officially time to rock an all-white summer outfit. Personally, I am not a stickler for fashion rules (the rule that you should only wear white after memorial day). If you are one, then it’s finally time to pull your crisp white pieces out.
White is one of my favorite colors. Even though I am clumsy and untidy at times, I never hesitate to wear white (what are stain removers for, right?). However, I am a bit conscious about picking white pieces esp pants because they can make you look larger than you are. But I love how clean and fresh all-white look can be, especially in the crazy summer heat.
Last year, I did a dressed up an all-white summer outfit with a white pleated skirt, tee, and blazer. This year I am keeping it casual yet elegant with a luxe white lace trim cami that is currently on sale for $16 and my favorite Madewell white jeans.
I got the jeans last year after trying several pants from various brands. Madewell released a similar denim bootcut jeans this year but without the distressed detailing. I added some color and texture to the outfit with the striped cardigan, neutral bag, and pastel blue wedges.
If you follow on Instagram, you know that we recently visited Columbus Botanical Garden. I was impressed by how well they are taking care of all the plants and trees. We fell in love with all the Bonsai trees they had. It reminded me of one of my favorite movies Karate kid. The one I am pointing to in the picture above is a Golden Gate fig that is 37 years old, how cool?
Look how healthy all the indoor plants look? I am looking at the giant fig. They also have huge palm trees, peace lilies all over the garden.
If you haven’t noticed yet, hoops are the most trending accessory for spring and summer. The one I’m wearing is from H&M and it’s only $2.99.
