If you think burgundy leggings are only for fall. Here are a few ideas to wear a burgundy leggings outfit all through the year.
If quarantine made me do something apart from dancing on social media is spark my love for leggings. I have been wearing leggings with short dresses and tunic tops around the house. They are so versatile, with a switch of a top you can take them from work to weekend seamlessly.
I recently got this legging set recently from Amazon. It comes with pockets on either side. They are completely opaque and fit like a second skin. However, they are not thick enough to wear it with short tops. Hence all the outfits shared below are with longer tops or layers.
How to Create the Perfect Burgundy Leggings Outfit Year Round
1. Dressed up Look
Pair the leggings with a poncho sweater and heels for a work-appropriate or dressed up look. The slouchy top is balanced with fitted leggings and heels to give a sleek look.
2. Casual Weekend Outfit
For a casual weekend outfit, I paired the leggings with a basic tee and layered it with a boyfriend button-down white shirt You can completely ditch the shirt and pair it with a hi-low or tunic tee instead so you don’t have to worry about showing panty lines.
3. Chic Transitional Outfit
I paired the leggings as tights under a short printed dress and completed the look by wearing booties. This is a great way to transition your summer dresses into colder months.
4. Season Appropriate Layering
You can wear the burgundy leggings all through the year by layering it season-appropriate pieces. For summer you can layer it by wearing a kimono over it and for colder months swap it with a long/medium length cardigan.
5. Wear it to Yoga
This legging is perfect for yoga or workout as they stretch well and sweat absorbent. Pair the leggings with a lightweight sweatshirt so you are warm and cozy while doing yoga. The sweatshirt nicely hugs the body without being too tight. It doesn’t go up while doing yoga poses plus it’s insanely soft.
